The National has now been joined by over dozen more, designed by the likes of Tony Jacklin, Charles Hawtree and Dave Thomas within a tight radius alongside Turkey’s Mediterranean coastline.
The wedge is equipped with 100-percent milled Y-cutter grooves that offer clean, sharp, consistent edges to grip the cover of the ball more effectively. As a result, the Y-cutter grooves deliver up to 300 more rpm than the company’s Dual Draft wedges, resulting in enhanced bite and control from shot to shot.
The rac Satin TP wedge also offers a tour-configured sole that’s ground low on the trailing edge and at the toe and heel. When viewed from above, the trailing edge appears curved, resembling the letter C. This sole configuration lets players open the clubface around the green to play high, soft chips and pitches.
Finally, TaylorMade engineers enhanced the feel of the rac Satin TP by adding large feel pockets that efficiently channel unwanted impact vibration to strategic locations in the clubhead. Available in several different loft angles (52, 56, 58, and 60 degrees), the rac Satin TP sports a distinctive glare-reducing satin finish and carries a two-year warranty.
