What type of glass do homes on golf courses install to prevent stray golf balls from breaking the glass?

Someone was asking about bullet proof glass, but I’m not sure if that is actually the way to go. What do most homes on golf courses use as their window glass? Even just some keywords would be helpful, thanks!

I work in the golf industry, and most of the time people just use regular glass. The added expense of lexan or hurricane windows isn’t usually worth it financially unless you’re right in the line of fire and you have a broken window every month. That being said, usually something like lexan is used. If you go to a home center and tell them you want hurricane windows, they’ll know what you mean. From my experience, lexan windows are about 3-4 times the cost of regular glass windows, so you have to weigh the pros and cons to see if it makes sense for you.
